Artist Photographs

An especially important part of any successful record label throughout the 1950’s to the 1970’s was good promotion. A way that helped to gain air time and sell more records was by giving away promotional photographs of artists to the press, journalists, DJs and Radio Stations. We hold in our archive many rare, hard to find and sought after examples of these photographs, with many being bought from the late and great Roy Carr - the editor for magazines such as NME, Vox, and Melody Maker.
